LOS ANGELES, UNITED STATES.-Christiane Amanpour, One of the CNN presenters confessed this Monday that she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
“I have had successful surgery to remove the tumor, and now I am receiving several months of chemotherapy to obtain the best possible long-term prognosis, and I am sure,” said the reporter in her program “CNN International”.
Amanpour, The 63-year-old was absent from her program for four weeks, so her followers began to speculate about her health, but it was until this Monday that the renowned journalist decided to share with everyone what was happening.

In addition, she urged women to listen to their bodies always and to “ensure that their legitimate medical concerns are not underestimated or diminished.”
According to the presenter, she will have three weeks off previously scheduled, after receiving chemotherapies, meanwhile she will continue to present her program from Monday to Wednesday.
