Christian Thielemann Conducts Rare Bruckner Symphonies in Berlin Philharmonic Concert

Live from the Berlin Philharmonic – “Berlin Philharmonic” by Christian Thielemann will play two in the lead Antona Bruknera symphonies. Concert title and application: “Unknown Bruckner with Christian Thielemann”

Anton Bruckner at the beginning of his journey of self-discovery: in this concert we will hear two almost unknown symphonies of the composer. None of them are included in Bruckner’s symphonies, which run from the First to the Ninth. “Studio Symphony” in faminor is Bruckner’s first foray into the symphony genre. The composer described it as a “studio work”, the soundtrack of any symphony pleases with power and romantic warmth. Furthermore, in the so-called “Zero” symphony, what is fascinating is how clearly we see in the fabric of the music how Bruckner’s individual style takes its shape.

German conductor, Staatskapelle Dresden and Berlin’s State Opera Unter den Linden artistic director Christian Thielemann is a world-renowned interpreter of Bruckner, and under his leadership this evening of Bruckner’s music will be especially rewarding.
