Last December 30, Christian Ré, a monument of charentais associative, educational and sporting life, died at the age of 80. Many testimonies are raining down on social networks and towards the family. It is a great sadness for those who had the chance to meet him. He has trained many young people and has trained many volunteers with him.
Throughout his life, he gave his time to others and to the town of Nersac where he created the Union Amicale de Nersac. President of the football club, after having been a player, coach-player and coach, he brought the club from the 2nd departmental division to the regional league and won two Angoumois cups. A fervent defender of popular education, he has made this unisport club a strong association of fifteen sports, educational, cultural and social sections with handball, voluntary gymnastics, modern and traditional dance, a choir …
He even created a recreation center. In this large association, he offered exchanges with the city of Munsterdorf in Germany within the framework of the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ) where he allowed many young people from both countries to meet and to exchange. This great multidisciplinary association that was the UAN, to which it allowed to have a place and where it recruited young people in assisted contract, gathered more than 300 members.
This association was affiliated with FCOL, a federation where he was also very involved. In 1965, at age 25, he started as a USEP delegate. In 1966, he organized the famous lendits as part of the centenary of the Teaching League which had brought together more than 1,000 students from the department. He supervised departmental USEP internships at the normal school or in Saint-Lary, regional at CREPS in Boivre and national in Boulouris or Talence. His sports specialties were team sports and outdoor activities.
A precursor of multisport schools, it has enabled many children to discover all sports. A fervent defender of sport for all, he naturally got involved with UFOLEP where he initiated the Sport Health conferences which are still relevant today. He was licensed there in the ES Blanzac club and practiced cycle tourism there, which allowed him to travel a large part of France without forgetting the epic in Gelendjick in Russia with his friends.
A sportsman at heart, he gave a lot to the sporting world, he obtained the gold medal for Youth and Sports and he joined the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee (CDOS). After starting as a teacher in 1963, he also made it his job as a pedagogical advisor in Physical Education and Sports where he accompanied and trained many teachers, which earned him to become a knight in the order of academic palms. . It is therefore a page in the associative, educational and sporting history of Charente that turns and many volunteers, athletes, teachers mourn a guide, an activist, a friend… quite simply a beautiful person.
