Finance Minister Christian Lindner has Corona. A rapid test revealed the result during the IMF meeting in Washington. It is unclear whether he will travel back to Berlin.
Finance Minister Christian Lindner tested positive for the corona virus at the spring conference of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington. This was reported to journalists close to the minister.
Lindner later wrote on Twitter: “After two years without a Covid19 infection, yesterday a negative result in the test center and today a negative quick test: positive.” He added that “thanks to three vaccinations” he had “only mild cold symptoms that subsided again.”
It was initially unclear whether Lindner would travel back to Berlin with the government plane as planned on Thursday. He had previously attended the meeting of finance ministers of the G20 countries.
