Many people on Twitter wondered how fit or sick the party leader really is. The fact that the around 660 FDP delegates met in a hall in Berlin in a carefree and close together manner and without a mask in view of the clear infection of their chairman was also widely criticized. Lindner himself, however, explained that he only had mild Covid 19 symptoms. However, the Twitter community did not buy the appeasements from the FDP leader.

Corona virus downplayed as a cold? FDP boss receives Twitter mockery
“You have Corona or another contagious disease? Share it with others! Your FDP,” it said elsewhere. Advice to Lindner was formulated no less ironically: “Don’t worry, it’s just a mild cold and the whole fuss with Long Covid is certainly completely out of thin air; otherwise just ask your top virologist Buddy Buschmann for advice. Get well soon.”
The discussion was triggered by the fact that Lindner was sweating profusely during his 40-minute party speech. A still image of his performance quickly went viral on the internet. The 43-year-old was positive on the matter after a meeting of G7 finance ministers in Washington on Thursday Coronavirus been tested and is now in isolation there.

Lindner also received get well wishes on Twitter, for which he thanked. “But there is no need to worry – this is what it looks like when you are in the headlights at 0600 in the morning without a mask,” he wrote in the short message service. FDP celebrates the abolition of corona rules: Twitter completely stunned
At the party conference, several leading FDP politicians emphasized that it was thanks to the Liberals that Germany had returned to “normal” after two years of restrictions caused by the corona pandemic. “And I’ll say: If (Health Minister) Karl Lauterbach hadn’t withdrawn the decision of the 16 Health Ministers that we no longer have to be in quarantine if we’re infected, Christian Lindner would be with us today and not in Washington,” said the deputy FDP -Head Wolfgang Kubicki at the opening of the party conference.
