With Super Bowl LIV less than a week away, Chrissy Teigen has got you covered when it comes to the best menu for the big game. Teigen has been testing her favorite Super Bowl recipes this past week, all of which have been added to her new Cravings website. Here’s a look at Teigen’s 2019 Super Bowl menu and how her son, Miles, helped her put it all together.
Teigen tests her new recipes
Taking to social media, Chrissy Teigen shared an adorable clip of
her son tasting some of the recipes for the big game. Although all of Teigen’s
menu looks absolutely delicious, we have to admit that Miles is her biggest
critic.
“Miles, do you like it?” Teigen asked him after
giving him a pig in a blanket. “No,” he responded.
Not one to give up that easy, Teigen made a few adjustments and
had Miles test it again. Needless to say, the second time didn’t go any better
than the first.
To be fair, children are not the best taste testers, so we’ll give Chrissy Teigen the benefit of the doubt on this one. After all, she has published a few cookbooks, created her own line of kitchenware at Target, and helped developed a slew of cooking shows.
Luckily, Teigen took the criticism in stride and thought Miles’
reaction was absolutely hilarious. He may not be her biggest fan, but we are
confident her recipes are a good bet for anyone’s Super Bowl party.
Chrissy Teigen teases her favorite guac recipe
If you need a good chip and dip recipe for the upcoming Super
Bowl, look no further than Teigen’s favorite cheesy guacamole.
But be warned, Teigen’s guac is not what you might expect. The
recipe includes sharp cheddar, offering a mixture of guac and cheddar in every
bite. In fact, Teigen recently admitted that it might be her most controversial
recipe to date.
“Guacamole is a sacred thing to people. Adding cheese to it is kind of like
when Bravo introduces a new Housewife. You want to hate her. You don’t like
change. But she grows on you and, eventually, you can’t watch the show any
other way,” she explained.
Luckily, Chrissy Teigen’s guac recipe is easy to try. According
to Parade,
start by cutting fresh avocados and placing the halves in a bowl. Mix in some
lime juice, cumin, and cayenne, using a potato masher until you get a chunky
mixture.
Next, add in the cheddar cheese, jalapeno, cilantro, onion, lime
juice, and tomatoes. Mix thoroughly and throw in some salt. Let the mixture
stay at room temperature for half an hour before eating.
Inside Teigen’s Super Bowl ad
While Chrissy Teigen is busy getting her Super Bowl menu ready, she is also set to appear in a commercial during the NFL’s biggest game. And she’s getting a little help from her famous husband, John Legend.
Teigen is working with Genesis to promote their new SUV, the
GV80, and will also be promoting the company’s latest campaign, titled “Young
Luxury.”
For those that do not know, Genesis is the youngest automaker in
North America that features a luxury lineup. Ahead of the company’s
collaboration with Teigen, CEO Mark De Rosso explained some of the logic behind
their new campaign.
“Why not act our age and have a little fun?” he
shared.
Hiring Teigen should give the brand a more humorous spokesperson,
which will play well with Super Bowl audiences. And adding Legend to the mix
adds an element of class that the brand is really looking to promote.
Genesis offers a teaser for Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s commercial
Ahead of Super Bowl Sunday, Genesis released a teaser clip of
Teigen and Legend’s commercial. The video features a massive tower of oysters
that comes crashing down after Teigen grabs a mollusk from the bar.
Teigen then turns to the crowd of onlookers and immediately
places the blame on her famous husband.
“That was not me, that was John Legend, the
singer, not me, some random girl, that was John Legend,” she stated.
Legend acts like he is offended as Teigen grabs another oyster
off the ground. In the second teaser, the couple is shown approaching a huge
ice sculpture at a lavish party that was hauled in from the Arctic. But Teigen
was not impressed by the sculpture’s origins, saying, “Well, I brought these
crackers in from my purse. So whoop-de-doo.”
Fans will get to enjoy Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s full
commercial when it airs during the Super Bowl next Sunday. The video will be
played at some point during the second quarter and we cannot wait to see what
else the couple has in store.
Super Bowl LIV will see the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the San
Francisco 49ers on February 2 on Fox.
