Supermodel Chrissy Teigen (35) has received massive criticism recently after old Twitter messages came to light. In 2011, Teigen wrote a number of obscene posts aimed at Courtney Stodden (26), who at the time was only 16 years old.
In an interview with Daily Beast Stodden revealed that Teigen must have sent very disgusting messages to her, including that Teigen “could not wait until she was dead”.
Now, however, Teigen opens up about the latest in a post on Instagram.

Cancel culture
She begins the long text by saying that she does not quite know what to say.
“It just feels so strange to pretend that nothing has happened in this Internet world, when it feels completely crap in the real world. Going out sucks and does not feel right, being at home alone with my thoughts makes my depressed head spin “, she writes in the introduction.
Cancellation culture, better known as “cancel culture”, has been ravaging lately. It involves encouraging the cancellation of something or someone, as a way of expressing dissatisfaction.
Often it is public figures and celebrities who have stumbled who are exposed to “cancel culture”.
After the bullying accusations, Teigen was one of those who was to be “canceled”. She describes it as a “fascinating phenomenon”, and writes that it is impossible to understand what it is like until you have experienced it yourself.
For the model, it all became a tough strain:
“It’s hard to talk about it in that sense, because of course you sound whining – when you’ve clearly done something wrong. It just sucks. There is no winner ».
Furthermore, Teigen writes that she was unsure whether she should write the Instagram post at all, but that she missed her followers and was tired of spending all day regretting what she has done.
“I can no longer cope with this silence. If you or someone you know has also been canceled, please let me know if there is a “cancel” club I can join. I could have benefited from some time away from the sofa “, she continues.

Lost son
For much of last year, Teigen withdrew from social media. Then she and her husband John Legend (42) experienced all parents’ worst nightmare when they lost his unborn son, Jack.
“When I’m old and gray, I want to look back on the last two months as brutal, tiring, sad, physically challenging and mentally painful old women of a few months. But I refuse not to find humor in both the tantrums and the outfits “, she wrote, referring to the outfit she was wearing in the photo.
