Chris Rock’s reaction to Will Smith’s apology

Hours after Will Smith shared a video to apologize to Chris Rock for hitting him during the Oscars, the 57-year-old comedian addressed the controversial issue during his presentation in Atlanta.

As reported in the magazine PeopleRock didn’t comment directly on the apology at his Atlanta show, but he did joke in a way about the assault.

«All the world he’s trying to be a fucking victim. If everyone claims to be a victim, then no one will listen to the real victims. Even when ‘Suge Smith’ hit me… I went to work the next day, I have kidsRock assured.

And I add: “Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face«.

Chris Rock used the term ‘Suge Smith to compare Will to Suge Knight, the founder of Death Row Records, who was convicted in 1996 of punching the late singer Tupac Shakur, and is currently serving a 28-year sentence for running over and murdering businessman Terry Carter.

However, despite constantly rbomear about the controversial moment in his shows, Chris has not yet spoken publicly and in depth about the assault.

Situation that Will Smith himself acknowledged in his video, noting that he has tried to contact without getting a response.

“I contacted Chris by message and he told me that he is not ready to talk and when he is, he will. So I’ll tell you Chris, I apologize. My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here when you’re ready to talk,” Smith noted in the clip of him.
