Chris Rock Covers Will Smith’s Village on Stand-Up Stage

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Chris Rock slightly mentions Will Smith in his latest stand-up comedy show, although he doesn’t explicitly mention the name of the actor who slapped him at the 2022 Oscars.

At a show in Atlantic City last weekend, Chris Rock said he was reluctant to discuss much because he was still trying to digest everything that was happening.

“Chris Rock opened the show by saying he had an interesting week,” an onlooker at the event told AND as reported Monday (4/4) US time.

“He said he was still trying to understand the whole thing and plans to discuss it further in the future,” continued the source.

“And he joked about how Atlantic City is too close to Philadelphia [kampung halaman Will Smith] for him to enter. That seems to be a reference to the issue with Will Smith,” the source said.

The source said that although Chris Rock still seems to be trying to come to terms with what has happened to him, the comedian’s actions on the show itself are still funny and cool.

“It seems that the situation gave some new portions to his routine and a new meaning for himself as a comedian.”

Meanwhile, Chris Rock had an unpleasant experience in a series of stand-up comedy tours that took place some time ago.

ET reported, two people interrupted Chris Rock’s performance which took place in Boston, Massachusetts.

A source told ET that two bullies interrupted Rock’s performance. The first person comes at the start of the show.

Someone was known to be in the front row saying, “F ** k Will Smith”.
