Friday night, hours after Smith put his apology video online, Rock was on stage. In the Fox Theater in Atlanta he did not talk directly about the film, but he did refer to the – now world famous – blow he received at the Oscars. “Everyone is trying to be a victim,” it said. “If everyone tries to be a victim, then no one will hear the real victims. Even when I got beaten by Suge Smith I just went to work the next day.” He probably calls Will Suge in reference to Suge Knight, a former record label boss who is currently in prison. “Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face,” Chris said later on his show.

Will apologized profusely in a video to Chris and his family, as well as to those around him. The actor said that he contacted the comedian, but that he was not ready for a conversation. But according to Will, he would get in touch as soon as he’s ready.
