According to sources in the Mirror news website, Coldplay singer Chris Martin, 47, and actress Dakota Johnson, 34, are engaged.

A source tells the magazine that the couple, who have been together for more than six years, did not want to make a big fuss about their engagement, even though it happened some time ago.

– They have openly told their loved ones about it. They’ve been deeply in love with each other since day one, so this next step was inevitable. They are not in a hurry about the wedding, but they are just enjoying the fact that the commitment is now official, the source describes to the magazine.

Last October, Johnson celebrated his birthday in Los Angeles. An emerald green ring was seen on her left ring finger.

Johnson has taken the role of stepmother very well. Martin has two children from his previous relationship with Gwyneth Paltrow: 19-year-old Apple and 17 years old Moses. Martin and Paltrow divorced in 2014.

In a recent interview with Bustle magazine, Johnson said that she loves Martin’s children. He would also be willing to try for his own children.

– What do I think about motherhood? I’m open. I have reached a point in life where I want to experience everything that life has to offer. If it’s meant to happen to me, I’m totally ready. We’re not going to be here long, so if I’m going to be a mom, that’s it, Johnson described.
