Despite the events we saw in Avengers: Endgame, Chris Evans isn’t ruling out putting the Captain America suit and shield back on. Evans, who is now promoting Lightyear – in which he voices Buzz Lightyear – doesn’t think that will happen, but if it does, “it should be perfect.”
Clearly, Cap is a character that Evans has some fondness for – and of course his most popular role – having played him in no less than the character’s trilogy, four Avengers movies, and other MCU appearances.
Evans doesn’t see it clearly
“It sounds like it’s something people would like to see,” Evans says of returning to the role. “I don’t want to disappoint anyone, but it was very good and I’m very happy with it. It was precious to me. It should be perfect, I’m afraid to ruin something that is so dear to me. role means a lot to me. »
Rumors of a hypothetical return of Evans in the stars and stripes costume date back to January 2021, when there was talk that he would play the character again in a film or a series of another character. Right now there’s actually a fourth Captain America movie in the works, although this time it won’t be Steve Rogers as the protagonist, but Sam Wilson -Falcon, played by Anthony McKie-, to whom Rogers passed the relay.
That said, it seems practically impossible for Evans to return to the UCM, being more immediate to see him – listen to him, rather – in Lightyear, which will be released this June 17th. Obviously we will not listen to Evans in our language, but we will listen to Raul Llorens, who regularly takes care of the dubbing of the American. We can also hear the voice of Carlos Sainz Jr., a Ferrari driver, who played a character not yet revealed, his partner Charles Leclerc having also participated in the Italian version of the film.
