Chris Evans, Marvel Studios’ eternal Captain America, has dismissed rumors that the original six Avengers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will reunite in one film.
In an interview with The View, the actor said that he often hears such rumors, but denied all current conversations:
You know, I also hear these messages all the time, and this is news to me. I think every couple of months someone says they have Downey, Hemsworth and Scarlet and they’re all coming back! … Look, I would never say never, but actually… I’m very protective of him. This is a very dear hero to me, so it has to be the right story.
Evans played Captain America in the MCU from 2011 to 2019. After his departure, the title of the new Captain America is officially held by Sam Wilson, aka the former Falcon. And the role of this superhero is played by actor Anthony Mackie. It is noteworthy that Sam received the Captain’s shield from Steve Rogers himself at the end of the film “Avengers: Endgame”.
Marvel fans will be able to see the new Cap in Captain America: Brave New World, which is expected to premiere on February 13, 2025. If rumors are to be believed, Bucky Barnes will also appear in the film, played by Sebastian Stan.
