“Cholet Basket Wins Fourth Consecutive Trophée du Futur to Establish Dominance in U21 Category”

This afternoon was the final of the Trophée du Futur, in Blois. This is the mini-tournament of Playoffs at the end of the season which determines the winner of the French Espoirs championship. Like last year, the poster opposed the U21 Cholet to those of Limoges. In total control, Tidjane Salaun’s teammates disposed of their opponents 72-42 and are now quadruple reigning champions.

He will be at the EuroBasket U18 to defend the colors of France. But before, Tidjane Salaun had to win the Trophy of the Future to end his club season in style. The Espoirs de Cholet Basket, also led by Mathéo Leray, freshly elected MVP of the Espoirs championship, and Lucas Dufeal, nominated in the five majors of the season, easily disposed of the young Limougeauds. Thanks to this victory, Cholet recovers a fourth consecutive trophy in the category. A recognized training centre, the CB Academy proves once again that it produces talents that are among the best in the country. With eight championship titles and six Future Trophies, Cholet also establishes its dominance in the U21 category, since the center is by far the most successful since the creation of the competition in 1988.
