Al-Kuwait | The Ministry of Health said there are currently no changes in travel procedures due to the reported cases of cholera in Kuwait. Officials said the situation was calm and under control, but the ministry was ready to deal with any emergency. Ministry sources also asked those traveling to countries where the disease is prevalent to follow health precautions.
Travelers to these countries should be careful to drink only safe bottled water and avoid unsafe foods. The ministry advised eating only well-cooked foods served hot and avoiding milk and related products. Cholera was confirmed in a Kuwaiti national who returned from Iraq on Friday.
