The Choir lost this Wednesday evening on the floor of Dijon (99-82) for the last match of 2023, at the opening of the return phase.
In the game for 15 minutes (31-39, 15), the Choir gradually lowered its flag, by chaining together lost balls (22 in the end), while the Burgundians increased their defensive intensity. The Dijonnais went 20-9 to take the lead (51-48, 20th).
The return from the locker room was unfortunately going to be in line with this end of the 2nd quarter. Voiceless offensively due once again to lost balls on each possession, Dijon had a lead of up to 15 points (63-48, 25th). DJ Cooper (29th rating), well accompanied by Jordan Tucker at long distance, perpetuated the hope before the start of the last quarter (72-64, 30th).
The hope aroused did not translate into the final quarter. Roanne finally bows for the 2023 final in Dijon (99-82, 40th).
Now it’s time for a truce before returning to action on January 6. The Choraliens will resume with a friendly match at La Halle on January 8 against Vichy, before a return to the championship on January 14 at 4:30 p.m. in Beaublanc against Limoges CSP.
