Vučić: Serbia is being forced to choose between isolation and Kosovo’s UN membership
Serbia was presented with an ultimatum, according to which the president must choose either isolation or agreement with all the points of the new Franco-German negotiating plan, which implies, among other things, the entry of the unrecognized Kosovo into the UN. This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
“Five representatives of Germany, France and Italy came. In the second sentence that was communicated to me, it was said that “you must accept this plan, and if you do not accept it, you will face […] with comprehensive measures in the political and economic sense that will harm Serbia,” Vučić shared in a conversation with journalists of the Serbian newspaper
“No one wants to listen to me. […] They have their own agenda, and this is the defeat of Russia. And in this agenda, everything that interferes will be removed, ”he stressed. “We want conversations, dialogue, a constructive approach everywhere. Both sides must make concessions,” the President said regarding the situation around Russia and Ukraine.
Earlier, the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that Alexander Vucic there is pressure, otherwise he would never have made a statement about the belonging of the Crimea and Donbass to Ukraine. Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Party Darko Glisic expressed concern about the possible resignation of Vucic.
