Mayor face to face with the prime minister and bill for several million zlotys
On the same day the head of government paid a visit to his city, pointing out to Gursz that he had not traveled to Oborniki and did not collect the check. The mayor of Chodzież – he says – was not allowed to speak during the visit of the prime minister, so he had to stand on his own improvised stage. – I began my speech, the greeting when the Prime Minister stopped speaking, finished his speech and started walking through the market disc, moving away from his stage – he reported in “Decision Time” on TVN24 on Tuesday evening.

– In fact, we met face to face, we were half a meter apart and two SOP officers – he added. He noted that he wanted to give the prime minister an invoice for PLN 4,200,000. So much for him for a year had to pay the local government for the changes introduced by the government of Mateusz Morawiecki.

– Prime Minister saw the check, clearly looked at it, read it, then looked down at me. To be honest, this sight was a great satisfaction for me. The prime minister certainly did not expect that by handing out checks for local government investments throughout Poland, he would receive a bill from the inhabitants of a city like Chodzież – said Gursz. As he said, in Morawiecki’s eyes he saw great surprise and astonishment. “I’ll remember that look for the rest of my life,” he confessed.

– I think that what we did in Chodzież should be done by all local government officials. Not only do we enjoy what we get from the government, because we simply get the money from the government. However, bills must also be issued – argued the mayor.
