New increase in cocoa grinds in the Ivory Coast
The Ivory Coast grinds more and more cocoa. According to the latest data from exporters’ association Gepex, cocoa milling increased by 6.9% year-on-year in November, reaching 113,803 tons. Compared to November 2021, the increase is 5.1% to 55,248 tons.
GEPEX data covers six of the largest shredding companies, including Barry Callebaut, Olam International and Cargill. Côte d’Ivoire has a total crushing capacity of 712,000 tonnes.
