Taras Chmut, director of the “Return Alive” charitable foundation, named the main priorities for the army as of now. People are the number one priority, he emphasized.
He shared his thoughts in an interview with “Ukrainian Pravda”, which published on Thursday, April 11.
“There are no people – there is nothing else. If there were enough people, the war would be very different now. If we reduce everything to material needs, then the first thing is ammunition of the entire nomenclature. The priority is artillery shells, mortar mines, long-range weapons of tactical and operational-tactical level, and I would like to also of strategic level. Next: armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers, BMP. There will be no tanks in this list, in my opinion, it is not a priority now,” Chmut said.
He also emphasized that Ukraine needs medical evacuation transport, means of radio-technical combat.
“There will be no scout drones here, as we are quite well fed by the state, volunteers, and partners. We still need collective infantry weapons, transport, logistics, and engineering equipment. And then everything else – there are unlimited needs for everything,” he added.
We will remind that in the same interview, Chmut expressed the opinion that mobilization in Ukraine should start from the age of 20.
