CHMI revoked all warnings. Storms raged mainly in Moravia

The severe storm warning and flood vigilance originally applied from Sunday 11:30 to 21:00. However, the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI) recalled both before 7 pm.

Although showers and thunderstorms persisted in eastern Moravia at that time, they no longer pose a danger, according to meteorologists, due to the canceled warning. On the contrary, according to the Meteopress website, there were very strong storms in Slovakia in the early evening.

In the Czech Republic, it was storming on Sunday, especially in Moravia, where torrential rains also arrived. A supercell probably appeared above the Chřiby Mountains in the afternoon.

In connection with the storms, firefighters went to several events, mostly fallen trees and branches. For example, South Moravian firefighters registered 22 departures from morning to 5 pm. They drained water, removed branches and trees, repaired tarpaulin roofs, and also drove into two traffic accidents.
