Musket: Civil Defense reported that 42 people suffered breathing problems due to chlorine gas leak in Oman. They were shifted to the hospital. Some of those undergoing treatment are in critical condition.
The leak was caused by chlorine stored in a cylinder at a company in the Muwailih industrial area of North Bathina. The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority has informed that the gas leak has been controlled. The Oman Environment Authority also said that the situation is under control.
The leaking cylinder was moved to a safe location. Civil Defense said that such incidents indicate the need to strictly follow safety procedures to avoid accidents.
