During an interview for ESPN, the Mexican-American defender Tony Alfaro, who arrived as a reinforcement to the Chivas Rayadas de Guadalajara in the Clausura 2019, recalled his stage in the Tapatío team, indicating that he ended up very disappointed in the facilities of the Verde Valley, classifying them as ‘old’.
“The Chivas facilities are a little old, I was expecting a little newer because it is Chivas and you expect to see a luxurious wardrobe, with all kinds of facilities and that part was not like that, but well, that’s what less, my colleagues welcomed me with open arms although I did not know anyone and when they arrived they thought I did not speak Spanish, but I left them surprised in that aspect and I got along very well with them, they helped me in things that I did not understand, in things that I could be better ”, he related.

On the other hand, Alfaro stated that he felt a great emotion when he heard of the interest of the Chivas since he never thought that a team as important as Guadalajara wanted to have him among their ranks to try to compete for Liga MX.
