SBU arrested the Kremlin ideologue

The security service, together with foreign partners and the State Border Service, carried out a special operation, when they arrested Dmitry Chistilin, the Kremlin’s ideologue of the Russian military attack.

The person involved is an assistant to Putin’s former adviser, Sergei Glazyev, one of the main “moderators” of the capture of Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk regions and the developer of the “Information Warfare Strategy”, which justified the attack full scale on Russia. From 2016 to 2024, Chistilin prepared several so-called “analytical materials” for the Kremlin, in which he supported the Russian invasion and the “unification” of territories that were briefly occupied by Russia.

In addition, Chistilin is the author of many publications aimed at information sabotage against Ukraine. Mr. Putin is also actively involved in promoting the interests of the Kremlin outside of Russia, in particular, he organized interference in the electoral processes in the countries of Eastern and Central Europe for favor Moscow.

Chistilin’s activity does not end there. Therefore, the Russian propagandist allegedly also worked on behalf of the Ukrainian people and participated in so-called “round tables” in European countries. During such events, he spread Kremlin statements, hoping to reduce support for Ukraine from Western partners.

The Kremlin propagandist was held at one of these events in Moldova. The resident tried to return to Moscow through the borders of other countries, but the SBU, together with foreign agents, arrested the defendant.

Now Chistilin was told about 2 suspicions – high treason and the justification of the Russian military attack. The accused faces life in prison with forfeiture.

Investigators determined that Chistilin left Ukraine before the full-scale attack began.
