Chip Crisis Ghost Hasn’t Disappeared

VIVA – Japanese tech giant Toshiba predict will not be able to meet demand chip power regulators or semiconductors until the end of 2022.

This statement seems to be a new warning to makers of auto, electronics such as smartphones and game consoles, as well as industrial machinery struggling with chip shortages.

“The supply of chips will remain very thin until at least September next year. In some cases, we may find some customers are not fully serviced until 2023,” said Toshiba Director, Takeshi Kamebuchi, as quoted from the website. Hypebeast, Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

According to him, material shortages and demand that exceeds output capacity are to blame for Toshiba’s inability to fulfill orders for components that do not require advanced production technology and are usually considered a commodity.
