Chinese weightlifter Zhihui Hou, world runner-up in 2019, has achieved the gold medal in the category under 49 kilos on the first day of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, with a total of 210 kilos.
Hou preceded the Indian Chanu Saikhom Mirabai and the Indonesian Windy Cantika Aisah on the podium, silver and bronze, with 202 and 194 kilos.
