Chinese President Xi Jinping received the credentials of the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to China, Muhammad Hassanein Khaddam, and the credentials of 69 ambassadors of other countries.
According to the Chinese news agency Xinhua, Xi expressed, during his welcome to the ambassadors yesterday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China’s willingness to deepen the bonds of friendship, expand mutually beneficial cooperation with the people of other countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, and advance bilateral relations.
The Chinese president expressed his hope that the ambassadors would gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of China, and serve as envoys of friendship and bridges of cooperation, stressing China’s determination to provide all kinds of support to the ambassadors to perform their duties.
The Chinese president, through the ambassadors, conveyed his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the leaders of their countries and leaders of the organizations in which they work and to their people.
