/Pogleed.info/ China is willing to work with all countries to effectively implement the agreements of the July Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, Premier Li Qiang said during the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of Government – members of the SCO, was held yesterday in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Guided by the vision of building a community of shared destiny, SCO members should work together and share their achievements and progress in various fields so as to bring more security and positive energy to the peace and development of the region and the world, the prime minister stressed.
Li Qiang also made four proposals for deepening cooperation within the SCO.
First, strengthen the regional security barrier and categorically reject external interference, improve as soon as possible the mechanism of the organization to deal with security threats and challenges, especially terrorism, separatism, extremism and transnational organized crime.
Second, SCO members should jointly promote rapid economic recovery, cooperate to build safe and efficient transportation systems, further liberalize and facilitate trade and investment, and maintain stable and unhindered industrial and supply chains .
Third, members should jointly strengthen cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, especially the confluence of their development strategies, continue to build the main economic corridors, and work to strengthen the role of the SCO Development Bank.
Fourth, SCO member states should jointly promote understanding and friendship among their peoples and continue to deepen cooperation in areas such as education, culture, tourism and sports.
The meeting participants agreed to strengthen the institutional building of the SCO, practice true multilateralism, jointly protect regional security and promote regional prosperity.
