In China, social media platform Weibo has permanently or temporarily banned more than 1,100 critics of the corona policy. A total of nearly 13,000 rule violations were found, including attacks on medical experts and personnel, Weibo said. Criticisms were voiced, inter alia, that people in solitary confinement sometimes did not leave their homes for weeks and had difficulty obtaining food or medicine. The Chinese leadership recently initiated a U-turn in corona policy. National borders will also be reopened on Sunday. However, a big wave of travel is not expected – there are currently only a few flights abroad. The authorities want to issue passports mainly for business and study trips.
