The Chinese PC manufacturer Machenike announced during the Bilibili World fair that a system with a next-generation Intel Core processor will be available in October. This seems to reconfirm that Intel will release the Raptor Lake refresh in October.
Machenike does not yet announce which CPU is exactly processed in the gaming PC, but volgens IT Home in VideoCardz in any case, it concerns a new Intel processor. It was previously suggested that Intel wanted to release the Raptor Lake refresh in October; first the K series would be released and later this year the non-K series.
The manufacturer would also have mentioned during the fair that the PC in question will receive a PCIe 5.0 SSD. The 14th Gen Core series processor will be the first generation of Intel CPUs to have such SSDs available at release. Earlier generations also supported this bus standard via the GPU PCIe lanes, but from Arrow Lake onwards native support for these SSDs is expected.
Intel is reportedly releasing the Raptor Lake refresh as a replacement for the delisted Meteor Lake desktop processors. These are CPUs with the same architecture and socket as the thirteenth generation Intel processors, but in new configurations with, for example, more cores and threads or a higher clock frequency.
