The exclamation came in response to the report Wall Street Journal (WSJ) that the US Marine Corps and special forces have been secretly training the Taiwan Army and Navy for more than a year.

Hu Xijin, editor-in-chief Global Times, via Twitter said China should take action against Americans he called “colonizers” in Taiwan.
Report WSJ said about two dozen American troops were deployed to train Taiwan’s military.
“Why secretly? The US should send 240 soldiers publicly, in US military uniform, and announce where they are stationed,” Xijin said via his Twitter account, @HuXijin_GT.
“See if the PLA [Tentara Pembebasan Rakyat] will launch targeted air strikes to eliminate the US invaders!” the Chinese media boss continued.
American soldiers, reported WSJ, including members of the US Marine Corps and various other special forces teams, have been assisting members of the Taiwanese military for at least a year.
The Pentagon neither confirmed nor denied the report. Meanwhile, the Taiwanese government chose to remain silent.
