A magnetosphere and an earth observation satellite launched into space this morning.
Another Chinese launch took place today at 10 a.m. Hungarian time. A Long March-2C (CZ-2C) lifted off from the SLS-2 launch pad at the Xi’an Space Center with a payload of two satellites to be placed in low Earth orbit. One part of the payload was given by the magnetosphere observation satellites Macau Science Satellite-1 (MUST-1A/B) and 2, which were developed by the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) with the aim of studying the different layers of the Earth’s magnetic field, and their changes are being investigated, especially in the southern Atlantic Ocean.
The other main payload was an earth observation synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite called Luojia-2-01 developed and manufactured by Wuhan University, which will be capable of producing 0.5m resolution images. All three satellites entered the designated orbit, so China also completed another successful mission.
