Previously, some Chinese government agencies have banned the use of iPhones by public officials, but with this measure, the number of public officials subject to the application has been expanded.
The Wall Street Journal diagnosed, “The Chinese government’s restrictions are similar in nature to the US ban on Huawei equipment and the use of TikTok,” and “the two superpowers are concerned about leaking security information amid deteriorating relations.”
Analysts say that foreign brands that have entered China, including Apple, will be hit by the Chinese government’s measures.
The Wall Street Journal said, “Apple dominates China’s premium smartphone market and relies on China for about 19% of its total sales.” Reporter Baram Kim
