/ world today news/ The Chinese customs authorities announced today that they have launched 16 new initiatives to optimize the business environment in the country. The measures will help further stabilize social expectations and increase confidence in foreign trade. This was presented today at a press conference of the General Directorate of Customs.
The measures include improving the efficiency of cross-border logistics, supporting the import of advanced technological equipment and a number of special items, promoting the import and export of important agricultural and food products, facilitating rebates on export duties, improving the modernization of trade processing and optimizing the supervision of border trade. In 2022, the country’s customs administration introduced 23 measures to stabilize imports and exports, providing solid support to bring the scale of China’s foreign trade to a record high.
In its next step, the General Administration of Customs will focus on the implementation of the 16 new initiatives, call on local customs offices to introduce support measures, develop targeted solutions to the difficulties faced by businesses, and strengthen enforcement and feedback link on policy implementation.
