YANGON, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) — On Tuesday (Jan. 9), the Chinese Cultural Center in the Myanmar city of Yangon. Open Chinese cooking course for local people in Myanmar On the occasion of welcoming the Chinese New Year 2024, which falls on February 10th.
The traditional Chinese cuisine course will cover the preparation of 12 Chinese dishes, and will be offered every Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the center. Between 9 Jan. – 6 Feb.
Officials from the center Said that this course aims to welcome the Chinese New Year. Especially preparing a New Year’s Eve dinner to welcome the New Year. and promoting Chinese food culture at the same time
Chinese families often gather together to eat this meal. And it is considered the most important meal of the year for Chinese people. It is customary to eat it on the night before the first day of Chinese New Year.
The center added that a total of 10 Myanmar nationals participated in the course. On the first day of teaching last Tuesday (Jan. 9).
