Chinese company Visionox will supply Huawei displays for Honor and Nova smartphones

According to network sources, next year displays for smartphones Honor and Nova from Huawei will be supplied by the Chinese manufacturer Visionox. Sources close to the display manufacturer say that Visionox has already been approved as a screen supplier for Huawei smartphones.

It is worth noting that the smartphone released this year Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, consisting almost entirely of a screen, has a flexible panel created by Visionox. In addition, the panels of the Chinese manufacturer were used in Xiaomi Mi Note 10 smartphones and some ZTE models. Now, Visionox will ship its Huawei products.

The report said that in February next year, Visionox is due to submit test samples of its products to Huawei, and mass deliveries are scheduled to begin in March. Visionox’s current production capacity may not be enough to fulfill all incoming orders. It is expected that in 2020, the manufacturer will produce for Huawei from 5 to 10 million displays for smartphones.

Despite the fact that Visionox became known relatively recently, according to data published on its official website, it was founded back in 2001. Among other things, the manufacturer is engaged in the manufacture of OLED panels and has managed to achieve considerable success in this direction.

As Huawei continues to actively reduce the level of dependence on American companies, the beginning of cooperation with a local display manufacturer looks quite logical. Obviously, the Chinese telecommunications giant expects to completely stop using components manufactured by US companies in its products.
