The Guardia Civil has arrested three Chinese in the Spanish village of Cabanillas del Campo, Guadalajara, who were hidden in an underground tunnel 15 meters deep. The tunnel was dug to connect more than 9,000 cannabis plants to the electricity grid.
Services
The cannabis plantation was hidden in a warehouse on an industrial estate in the village of Cabanillas del Campo, located in central Spain. During the raid, in addition to several plantations in various rooms, the Guardia Civil also discovered a perfectly equipped kitchen on the ground floor, where the suspects kept enough food and hygiene products to spend several months without going outside. There was also a room where harvested cannabis plants were dried upside down.
During the operation, officers found more than 9,000 cannabis plants and items worth 36,000 euros. This is one of the largest cannabis plantations that have been dismantled in Guadalajara in recent years.
Suspects
The Civil Guard has opened proceedings against three Chinese men aged between 40 and 57 for crimes against public health, electricity fraud and membership of a criminal organization. The Guardia Civil says it cannot rule out more arrests.
