(Seoul = Yonhap News) Chinese and Russian troops gathered in the central waters of the East Sea and started a joint naval and air force training.
According to the People’s Liberation Army’s official magazine, the People’s Liberation Army, on the 19th, the Chinese naval squadron participating in the ‘Northern Union-2023’ exercise arrived at the scheduled sea area at noon the day before and met with the Russian Navy.
Various military aircraft, including transport planes and fighter jets dispatched from both countries, also entered the designated airfield.
The Liberation Army News Agency explained that the troops participating in the training from China and Russia had completed the assembly and that full-scale training preparations had been completed, including the opening of a combined command headquarters.
The newspaper did not disclose where the troops from the two countries would assemble, but the Chinese Ministry of Defense recently said that the two countries’ forces would meet and train in the central East Sea (which China’s Ministry of Defense refers to as the “Sea of Japan”).
The two countries sent about 10 warships and 30 military aircraft to the exercise.
China dispatched two guided missile destroyers, two guided missile mini destroyers, and a comprehensive supply ship carrying four helicopters.
Russia sent eight warships, including two 6,800-ton anti-submarine destroyers and one corvette.
It is known that this training will continue until the 29th. Let’s see it in the video.
