The growth of watch and jewelry sales is rebounding rapidly in China after the lifting of measures linked to the “zero covid” policy dictated by Xi Jinping. Business closings and confinement had inevitably led to a fall in watch and jewelry sales in 2022, while the American market was performing well. Today, we are witnessing, to a lesser extent, a reversal of trends. With an evolution of +13.6% in the first quarter, fueled by +34.7% in March after +5.9% in January-February during the Chinese New Year celebrations, the Chinese market overtook the American market whose Sales fell in February for the fifth consecutive month.
