KOMPAS.com – The United States (US) and its allies have supplied various types of weapons to Ukraine to deal with Russia’s two-week invasion.
The types of weapons supplied by the US and its allies include shoulder-launched anti-aircraft, anti-tank rockets, and various other types of weapons.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has also expressed progress in approving a proposal to deliver Polish Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter jets to the Ukrainian air force.
However, arms shipments from the US and its allies to Ukraine have raised concerns from a number of parties.
The reason is that the delivery of weapons from the US and its allies can be interpreted by Russia as a form of Western intervention in the Moscow Military Operation to Kyiv.

One of the countries that opposes the West supplying weapons to Ukraine is China.
China’s envoy to the United Nations recently said that continued shipments of weapons to Ukraine from the West in large numbers could exacerbate the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
As reported KOMPAS.com On Tuesday (8/3/2022), China’s Ambassador, Zhang Jun, issued a warning about military aid from the West and Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen resistance through the “international legion”.
“Importing offensive weapons into Ukraine and sending mercenaries could worsen the situation and create even greater risks,” Zhang said.
“Any action that is conducive to de-escalating the situation under a political settlement will receive China’s support,” he added.
