China’s Total Bond Issuances Reach 5.46 Trillion Yuan in May: Official Data

Official data released by the Chinese Central Bank showed that the country’s total bond issuances amounted to 5.46 trillion yuan (about 775.63 billion US dollars) last May.
Treasury bond issues amounted to 735.28 billion yuan, while local government bond issues amounted to 755.35 billion yuan, according to the People’s Bank of China. Last May, financial bond issuances amounted to 45,984.45 billion yuan, while corporate credit issuances totaled 769.27 billion yuan. Meanwhile, issuances of credit-backed securities amounted to 25.3 billion yuan.
