BEIJING, KOMPAS.TV – China’s Shenzhou-12 manned spacecraft successfully docked to the core module of the Tianhe space station on Thursday (17/6/2021), according to China’s Manned Space Agency. (China Manned Space Agency/CMSA) as reported Xinhua, Jum’at, (18/6/2021).
The spacecraft, which was launched on Thursday morning local time, completed setting orbital status after entering orbit and conducting a rendezvous or rendezvous and mooring or docking fast and automatic to the front docking port Tianhe at 15:54 Beijing Time (14:54 WIB), formed a three-module complex with the Tianzhou-2 cargo plane.
The whole process takes about 6.5 hours.
This is rendezvous and docking Tianhe’s first done with the Shenzhou spacecraft since it was sent into orbit on April 29.

Using a Long March-2F carrier rocket, the spacecraft was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert, northwest China, at 09:22 Beijing Time (08:22 WIB).
Furthermore, according to the mission plan, the three astronauts serving in Shenzhou-12, namely Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming, and Tang Hongbo, will enter the Tianhe module.
