China’s reusable launch vehicle has successfully passed another round of tests – 2024-03-17 13:24:21

/ world today news/ The Chinese private space company iSpace completed the country’s first test of a reusable launch vehicle. This is a major step in China’s efforts to develop space technology in the country.

The Hyperbola-2 rocket reached a height of 343.12 meters with a flight time of 63.15 seconds and landed with a landing speed of 1.1 m/s. The first test flights of the model were already in November, when successful results were also achieved. The current test flight confirmed the reusability of a full tank of liquid oxygen and methane, as well as the reliability of the rocket during low-altitude descent and landing.

The successful attempts of the company iSpace clearly show the development of the country in the sector of private space companies, which are currently dominated by American companies such as SpaceX and Blue Origin. In recent years, Chinese private companies are increasingly involved in the development of space technology. On Saturday, another Chinese company, Landspace, successfully launched three satellites into orbit.
