The Olympic champion at the Paris Games needed just over an hour to defeat Paolini in the match that decided the last classified of the Purple Group in the end-of-season tournament that brings together the eight best in the ranking. He has won 30 matches since Wimbledon, including the Olympic gold medal and titles in Palermo and Tokyo.
