BEIJING, October 13, 2023 (Xinhua) – China’s producer price index, which measures the costs of goods at the factory gate, fell by 2.5 percent year-on-year last September, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.
The aforementioned decrease decreased compared to the 3 percent decrease recorded last August and the 4.4 percent decrease recorded last July.
On a monthly basis, the producer price index in September rose by 0.4 percent, compared to an increase of 0.2 percent recorded in August, according to the data.
The data showed that the average producer price index in the first nine months of 2023 decreased by 3.1 percent year-on-year.
