China’s military beats the US if it doesn’t act

Deputy Joint Chiefs of Staff United States of America, General John Hyten, said that China will defeat the country’s military if the Pentagon does not immediately improve.

Hyten made this statement while highlighting China’s “remarkable” military moves in recent times.

“The speed with which they are moving and their projections going forward will beat Russia and the US if we don’t do something to prevent it. It will happen, so I think we have to move,” Hyton was quoted as saying. CNN, Thursday (28/10).

Hyton stressed that to keep up with China’s military development, the US must work closely with allies. According to him, the US cannot move alone.

“Not only the US, but the US and allies because we have to really change the game. If only the US moves, it will be in trouble in five years. But if the US is with allies, I think we can be okay for a while,” he said. .

Hyten made this statement a day after the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, confirmed that China had tested a hypersonic missile.

According to him, the missile test was extraordinary. He even compared that moment to when the Soviet Union launched the world’s first satellite, Sputnik, in 1957.

“What we’re seeing is a very significant event from a test of a hypersonic weapon system. It’s very worrying,” Milley told Bloomberg TV.

It then said, “I don’t know exactly how similar the Sputnik moment is or not, but I feel very similar to that. This is a very significant technological event and we’re really looking forward to it.”

Meanwhile, the US itself failed to test a hypersonic weapon last week. The US Department of Defense stated that the rocket used to accelerate the projectile failed to launch so the test could not continue.

As reported AFP, hypersonic is the latest invention in missile technology because it can fly lower. Thus, hypersonic missiles are more difficult to detect than ballistic missiles.

Hypersonics can hit targets faster. The missile can also become more dangerous if it is fitted with a nuclear warhead.

Currently, only the US, Russia, China and North Korea have tested hypersonics. A number of other countries have just developed the technology.
