The total assets of China’s insurance industry stood at 29.6 trillion yuan (about 4.12 trillion U.S. dollars) in the first three quarters of this year, data showed.
This figure represents an increase of 10.8% over one year, said the National Financial Regulatory Administration.
According to the administration, insurance premium revenue increased 11 percent to 4.3 trillion yuan in the first three quarters of 2023.
During the same period, compensation and payment expenses reached 1.4 trillion yuan, an increase of 20.1 percent year-on-year.
