China’s industrial production showed a 2.2% increase in November – 2024-03-07 23:05:57

In the first 11 months, the mining industry rose by 7.6% compared to the previous year. Production in the industrial sector grew by 3.3 percent, and the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water – by 4.8 percent. In terms of products, the production of new energy vehicles registered a growth of 60.5% year-on-year in November, while that of solar batteries increased by 68.6%.

Industrial production is expected to accelerate recovery as the optimization of COVID-19 prevention and control measures and growth promotion measures take effect.

Industrial production indices are used to measure the performance of large enterprises, each with an annual core business turnover of at least 20 million yuan (about US$2.88 million).
