“The Chinese aircraft made repeated tactical moves by briefly ‘touching’ the center line and turning back to the other side of the strait on Tuesday morning, while Taiwanese aircraft were on standby nearby.”
Previously, China had frequented airplane flights to enter the Taipei air defense zone. In fact, the number reached hundreds in the last year.
Meanwhile, China continues to assert its claim that Taiwan is an integral part of its sovereignty. The Bamboo Curtain country has also so far distanced the island from international involvement and cooperation.
In this regard, Pelosi’s plan to visit Taiwan is considered a move by China to play with fire for Washington. Beijing has also asked US President Joe Biden to drop Pelosi’s plans.
