China’s Auto Exports Soar by 63% in July, Reaching 310,000 Vehicles – Electric Cars Witness Significant Growth

China’s auto exports rose 63 percent year-on-year in July, with about 310,000 vehicles exported abroad.

According to data from the China Passenger Car Association published by Xinhua, domestic Chinese passenger cars expanded their global presence, with exports of Chinese brand cars reaching 248,000 units, up 56 percent year-on-year.

It explained that during the first seven months of this year, Chinese passenger car exports expanded by 81 percent compared to last year, reaching 1.99 million units.

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said, Thursday, that China is witnessing a significant increase in the production and sales of electric cars last July.

The association reported that production of new energy or electric vehicles in China rose 30.6 percent year on year to 805,000 units last month, while sales rose 31.6 percent to 780,000 units.

The association added that the market share of electric vehicles reached 32.7 percent in July, noting that during the first seven months of the year, new energy vehicle production reached 4.59 million units, an increase of 40 percent year on year.
